I offer a space where we don’t just manage your symptoms; we unpack the conditioning that keeps you small. Through intersectional, social justice informed EMDR therapy, we process traumatic and difficult life events so you can stand with conviction for what you believe in.

Your Mental Health is Political.

Traditional trauma therapy focuses on symptom reduction in response to specific traumatic events. I believe your wellbeing is inseparable from the world you inhabit. Our work together acknowledges the invisible load and the emotional toll caused by:

  • The god damn patriarchy: Deconstructing the ‘nice girl’ conditioning that makes setting boundaries feel like a you’re doing something wrong.

  • Systemic oppression: Recognising the trauma of racism, ableism, and LGBTQAI+ prejudice.

  • Intersectional identity: Honouring the unique ways your specific identities overlap and the resilience (and trauma) that comes with them.

  • Geopolitical anxiety: Making space to explore the destabilising impact of a world in crisis.​

Processing the past to shape the future.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a gold standard treatment for trauma. It helps your brain ‘digest’ memories that are stuck in a loop of fear, shame, or hyper vigilance.

EMDR can be used to address any of the following issues:

  • Direct trauma: Childhood adversity, relational abuse, or specific traumatic events.

  • Systemic trauma: Unpacking the long term impact of of day to day prejudice or societal exclusion. 

  • Nice girl conditioning: Processing the specific moments where you were taught that being "difficult" was dangerous, freeing you up to challenge injustice when you see it. 

The Goal: To reduce the distress caused by difficult and traumatic memories so they no longer impact on you in the present moment.

I'm Maisie 

An accredited EMDR therapist who specialises in working with leaders, founders and high performers. 

I’ve spent over a decade working privately and within the NHS with successful people who’ve experienced a variety of different traumas and high stress experiences, including childhood trauma, one off traumatic events as well as vicarious trauma.

 

I have specific expertise in helping high achievers perform at their best even when working in high pressure environments. 

 

I'm currently working on an innovative research study using EMDR to mitigate the impact vicarious trauma in the workplace.

​I use a variety of psychological tools and strategies tailored to your needs, such as EMDR and nervous system work. All the tools I use are evidence based and backed by science, so you get support that’s not only compassionate, but clinically sound and effective.

I support you to clearly identify both your strengths and the areas that need optimising, giving us a clear, personalised map to guide your transformation.
